2020.1 release notes


Expected release: January 6-10

White Stars

  • Each Corporation can unlock the Corporation Flagship after it collects its first Relic in a White Star. The Flagship can be taken to one White Star at a time, and can be upgraded with Credit contributions by all members. Later upgrade levels add modules to the Flagship, some of them not available for use on regular ships. The Flagship can be controlled by any Corporation officer.
  • Time Machine improvements
    • Scheduled Commands are sorted by time remaining to execute (earliest one on top)
    • Commands that fail to execute while the time machine is playing will highlight as red
    • Can now tap on different parts of the command interface to select the associated ship, and to move the time to just before that command executes
    • Maximum number of scheduled commands increased to 12

Yellow Stars

  • Warp Lanes can be automatically relinked to their last connection (use the new option in the Star dialog in your home star)

Red Stars

  • Transports ordered to leave before they are done loading all queued artifacts will get the option to delay departure until all the artifacts are loaded.

Module changes

  •  DELTA ROCKET: Speed increased by 20%
  • DESTINY: The teleportation can only happen to an asteroid field anywhere in the star system (will no longer land on a planet or stargate). All asteroid fields have an equal chance of the ship landing there. Cannot be activated if no asteroid fields are in the system.

Other changes

  • The information window for any Asteroid will also display the total amount of Hydrogen stored on that asteroid's sector

  1. Major QoL improvements, a shiny new feature that serves as a measure of team strength, and some nice balance changes with Destiny and Delta Rocket.

  2. Increasing the speed of the Delta rocket is useless until it can be fired from a sector with a gate.

    Never saw that anybody used it anywhere else

  3. A very helpful feature for WSs would be for the option to superimpose the name of each ship/ship owner on screen. This would greatly assist group discussions about strategy and eliminate endless searching for who’s ship is where.

  6. Excellent improvements. I particularly like Destiny only going to asterouds as it provudes a way to limit possible endpoints.

  7. It is a little beyond me that destiny is almost useless in BS. it seems that anyone who has higher bond will win the game and other people could do nothing about it :(

    1. I am able to win BS without bond. Using teleport at correct moment will help a lot.

    2. I currently am and have been using destiny with 2 rockets and Win about 75% of the time. On my 1st try. Usually always win within 3 tries. Trick is not to wait till the last 30 seconds before you use your destiny.

  10. Is there going to be a guide for the Flagship? Right now we are leveling it up but have no idea what some of these new mods do or how far the upgrades go.

A couple of nice improvements, transports in rs and warp lanes, the new detail for hydrogen in sector is nice to, that's something severely lacking in the game, details, especially on stats, like bls wins/losses/placements, more summaries etc. would be nice to see, also bug fixes detailed, or a list of what is being worked on, ship selection using the arrows still doesn't work properly, we shouldn't have to cycle through two to four times to get to the ship we want when trying to give orders to them. Even with only 3 ships, it selects the next ship, then the first one again before going to the third ship if we're lucky.

  16. An oddball thing happened after this update. I play this solely from my Note10 and where I was once able to use my stylus to navigate no differently than if I were to use my finger, I can no longer drag the s-pen around the screen to navigate the map; it will only allow me to select an object.it was nice using the s-pen for precision. Otherwise, this continues to be one of my favorite games.

  17. So far good update but the countdown in Blue Stars is screwed up.. and maybe can you add an option to wait for full public RS server instead of forcing joining one (empty) after a minute?

    1. Yeah blue stars shrink at like x:04 (x:24 / x:44) instead of x:00 (x:20 / x:40).

    2. Latest changes to Blue Star are just unnecessary. I hope this is somehow a mistake that will be corrected in the future updates.
      As for empty RS it would be a brilliant idea to give the chance to undo and restart the scan or make it last longer until other players are found.
      Also, cycling ships through the menu arrows is still broken to me, sometimes it starts again from the beginning and you have to select the same ship two time before it goes forward to the next one.

  22. What happens when a dreadnought gets sunk ? YOU LOSE THE SHIP and ALL HANDS!!! So my guess is that you'd have to start all aver with level 1 and start upgrading it again

  23. Please look into rebalancing recoil for the flagship. As it stands now, any miner or transport needs to either run a defensive mod like impulse or stealth, or it needs to have a personal bodyguard arriving prior anywhere it is traveling.
    Recoil allows an enemy corps to murder any support ship without these things that is traveling any distance around 8 hours. This time can also be greatly reduced if they use a ship with timewarp nearby during the recoil warm-up period. This is ridiculous and insane, as traveling from hex to hex still puts every support ship at risk of an undisputed kill. I'm sure this is unintentional, but it has broken white stars in my opinion.
    I just encountered this in a white star where we have our transport running from the neighbouring hex to our gate. Our transport had timewarp on, no enemies nearby, and was already almost halfway through the journey when the enemy corps warps in their just upgraded flagship (midway through the battle) and recoils on our gate, with a time warp to speed it up. There is literally no defense vs this except to babysit every single support ship, or to equip every support ship with defensive mods.

  24. Здравствуйте. У меня появилась идея для ещё одного режима.
    "Квазар"
    Смысл режима:
    (Может быть как альтернатива бз)
    Корпорации отправляются к Квазар за артефактами. Квазар один раз в некоторое время наносит урон всем караблям в системе. Чем ближе они к центру тем больше урон, но и более высокоуровневые планеты.
    Для защиты транспорта будет необходимо отправлять с ними линкор в сопровождение, так как каждый щит будет обладать ублостью защиты, и владелец щита будет получать дополнительный урон за каждого защищаемого.
    Для этого в системе время действия щитов увеличивается а перезарядка уменьшается, но при этом они тереют максимальную прочность.
    Из-за этого будут новые тактики. Игрокам предётся отправлять линкоры на сопровождение транспорта, а события станут быстрее.
    В остольном можно сделать как на белых звёздах.

    Спасибо за внимание, я знаю что в моей идеи много нужно поправить, но мне кажется идея достойна реализации.

  25. Echoing the broken s pen support is killing this game for me. I've spent money, spent a lot of time, and since it was broken my gameplay has dropped precipitously. How much $ can I send to get a gd patch?!!
