During 2025, Hades' Star completed its 8th year of global operations. Counting various pre-release betas and live tests, the game has existed in some form for more than a decade. Creating a game that can be viably supported for many years, decades if possible, was a clearly stated goal of mine from the beginning. It feels surreal that the goal has been so far accomplished - thank you to the countless players who have supported the game over the years and have made this possible.  For me personally, 2025 marked the end of several years of turbulent personal events and uncertainty. Throughout these challenges, I have reflected a lot on what motivates me, and what I personally want to be working on in the years ahead. These reflections led me exploring a lot of different areas, both inside and outside games. Hades' Star has been one of the most popular mobile space games since its launch, more than 8 years ago.  We owe this success to our players, who from the very beginning organized in friendly, supportive communities, both inside the game's Corporations feature, and externally on Discord. These communities have helped countless new, overwhelmed players learn the game and progress much faster than they would on their own. Improvements to Recommended Corporations Fix White Star Security Rating description (now correctly states ships caught to supernova will return home)

 - Fix for issue where Relics loaded on Transports trapped at Supernova counted towards the final score - Setting a mining route for a White Star Only miner will no longer work (NOTE: Until the next optional app update, this action will trigger out of sync with the server)

 Today's update brings backend changes and bug fixes, including:  Fix Hades' Star platinum subscription failing to rebind on an Android game, after a renewal that had previously failed Fix for some PlayStation trophies not unlocking Fix unsubscribe link on event reminder e-mails No gameplay changes are being deployed in this update. 

On the next server update, the limits to generate additional Relics on lower level White Star planets will be increasing greatly, putting a soft cap on Relic production there. Most Corporations will not be able to generate more than 3 Relics on those planets.  Specifically, on L1 planets, the first 3 Relics will require 100 Hydrogen/Relic (unchanged), the next 7 20,000 Hydrogen/Relic, and beyond that 100,000 hydrogen/Relic.  On L5 planets, the first 3 relics will require 250 Hydrogen/Relic (unchanged), the next 7 5,000 Hydrogen/Relic, and beyond that 50,000/Relic. The requirements for L10 planets remain unchanged.  This change will be deployed on Friday, August 29, around 7 AM PST. White Stars in progress at that time will have the new hydrogen limits applied immediately. Please ensure you adjust pending orders to miners accordingly. Today we are announcing that the console versions of the Hades' Star client are shutting down. Players on Xbox and PlayStation will not be able to access the game after October 1st. The reason for this shutdown is that console development and upkeep is a significant drain on the resources of our small team. We are forced to choose between keeping console versions up to date and providing significant, frequent updates to all of Hades' Star players. While the decision was not easy, we will not compromise the experience of the significantly larger player base on other platforms. We apologize to the existing console players, and encourage them to follow the instructions below or reach out to support@hadesstar.com to migrate their existing game to a supported platform. This server update brings tweaks to the blue star matchmaking algorithm, including backend systems that will allow us to further tweak matchmaking without further downtime or maintenances. Future tweaks to blue star matchmaking will intentionally not be announced.  The goal of this and future tweaks is to encourage all players to upgrade their modules as high as possible for their level. If you see instances of mismatches, especially with players intentionally keeping their module levels now, please let us know at support@hadesstar.com (please include the Star name). 

 This server update adds support for a Yellow Star Credits event (see Events tab on the Leaderboards dialog for more information). The first event starts later this June. Note: You will need to get the optional app update (v6.555.3) in order to see accurate credit reward numbers on the screen during the event. If you are on the old app, the popup number when the shipment is being delivered will not show the total bonus awarded by the event. However, the correct amount of credits will still be added in the background, even if you have not updated your app. The optional app update is already available on Steam and will gradually become available for Android and iOS over the next week.
