Welcoming new players to the Hades' Star community

Hades' Star has been one of the most popular mobile space games since its launch, more than 8 years ago. 

We owe this success to our players, who from the very beginning organized in friendly, supportive communities, both inside the game's Corporations feature, and externally on Discord. These communities have helped countless new, overwhelmed players learn the game and progress much faster than they would on their own. They are the main reason new players stick around as much as they do - many of them for years. To all the players who worked hard to maintain this positive community: Thank you!

Going forward, we will be working on features to increase visibility of this community to new players. Starting last week, we have started completely reworking how Recommended Corporations work in game. This feature is important because it's the first point of contact of a new player with our community. The Corporations these players see need to be actively engaged in helping new players, and that's where we need your help. We recognize that no algorithmic recommendation can substitute a Corporation that's truly dedicated to helping new players. If you have an Open To All Corporation actively recruiting for lower level players, and are commited to helping them learn the game, please get in touch at support@hadesstar.com to have your Corporation manually flagged as priority in this Recommended list. For this purpose, your Corporation should be set to International for the most visibility, however we also need help with Regional Corporations in Germany, France, Brazil, Russia, Korea, Japan and China, if you primarily speak that language within the Corporation chat and on your Discord server.  There will still be other factors that affect whether a specific player sees your Corporation, including minimum Influence requirement (keep it set to 0 for most visibility) and your overall Corporation's activity level (more active players means higher recommendations). 

If you need other support from the development team to improve your community, do not hesitate to reach out. And as always, please continue suggesting and voting on feature improvements on Discord. These are weighted very highly when we decide what features to work on next.
